Diverting a door call to an external extension or a mobile phone

A call diversion is possible only with the upper door key. To configure an external call diversion follow these steps:

Call the door intercom using a handset. To do that open the list of internal participants, and select the door intercom using the navigation key. Confirm your selection pressing send key (green handset key).

Now open the submenu by pressing the right display key or press the navigation key to the right. Connect to Door is the first entry.

Select the entry Diversion No. and confirm it with OK by pressing the right display key, or press the navigation key to the right.

There you can enter or change the diversion number.

Notice: Behind a PABX it could be necessary to enter a predial number first. Breaks such as P are not supported!

Confirm your changes with OK by pressing the right display key. In this case you can not use the navigation key to do that, because it is used to navigate between the numbers you have entered. For a moment saved will appear in the display.

No return one level to the main menu of the configuration. Therefore press the left display key, or the navigation key to the left.

Now you will see the stored diversion number. The status of the diversion is Home. That means, the call diversion is not active.

Press the left display key Change or the navigation key to the left, to switch the status from Home to Away.

The status switches to Away. That means, the call diversion is active. Examine the call diversion by pressing the upper door key. In combination with an analogue Gigaset base station you should see In Use. With ISDN base stations a 1 will be displayed, which means one of the two possible lines is busy.

Now the phone at the telephone extension, where you divert your door call to, should ring. As soon as you take the call, an announcement will be played.

Press 1 to take over the diverted call.

Press # (hash) to end the call.

To give this commands to the door intercom, you need an DTMF telephone (*1).

Notice: When you take the call, and you want to end it, please use the # (hash) key instead of ring off as usual. After you send the #-key to the door intercom, it will end the call from there side. If you end the call by ringing off as usual, the connection basicly is disconnected, but the door intercom did not recognize that. Another door call is not possible until the maximum talk time (120 seconds) was reached.

Please pay also attention to the following configuration settings:

The door intercom Gigaset HC450 includes a menu entry Timer, where you can configure several relevant settings:

Duration of door light (1-90 seconds or impulse)

Ring time of door bell (1-3 seconds or impulse)
