  • By default, the number of the caller is shown in the display of your Gigaset telephone. You do not have to make any other settings on your Gigaset telephone. However, if the caller's number is not displayed, this can be due to the following:

    - You have not ordered CID from your network provider or
    - Your telephone is connected through a PBX that does not transmit all information.

Is your telephone connected through a PBX/gateway?
You can establish this by checking for an additional device connected between your telephone and house connection, e.g., a PBX, gateway etc.
In most cases, simply resetting this device will remedy the situation:
    - Briefly disconnect the power plug of your PBX.
    - Re-insert the plug and wait for the device to restart.

If the caller number is still not displayed:
Check the CID settings of your PBX and activate this function if necessary. In the user guide for the device, search for the term "CID" (or an alternative term such as "phone number transmission", "caller ID", ..).

If necessary, contact the device manufacturer. If this does not resolve the problem, it is possible that your network provider does not support the CID service for this number.

Have you ordered the CID service from your network provider?
Check whether your provider supports Caller ID (CID) and that the function has been activated for you. If necessary, contact your provider.

  • If you operate your Gigaset on the telephone connection of a router/modem, make sure that you have noticed the following points:

    • Use the phone cable from the Gigaset packaging.
    • If the router or modem does not have a phone jack, it is necessary to use the enclosed phone cable or the enclosed phone adapter of your router/modem.
    • Connect the cable to the router`s phone jack / phone port / FON port.
    • Please check if your telephone data (internet telephone number, provider-profile, …) for the used telephone connection in the router/modem were entered correctly.
    • Please make sure that your internet connection is working.

If the problem persists, please contact your provider.

  • With the following procedure all handset settings including the directory, redial list etc. will be deleted!

    • Switch off handset
    • Hold down the keys 1, 4, 7 and switch the handset on
    • "Service" will be displayed
    • Enter 4 6 8 5 4 6 3
    • The handset switches off

  • Fundamental reset of the base station

    • Disconnect mains.
    • Press paging key on base station and hold down.
    • Plug in power supply.
    • Hold key pressed for more than 5 seconds. Release the paging key.

The base station is now set to factory defaults.
The system-PIN is reset to 0000 and all handsets are deregistered.

  • It is practically impossible to determine the battery capacity or state of charge of a NiCd or NiMH battery by fast measurement. For the charge management of the Gigasets, it is only possible to recognize completely empty or completely full (just charged) batteries by the voltage. In most cases, however, the display will show 1/3 or 2/3 because the flat discharge curve, the temperature dependence of the voltage and the different battery types do not allow the charge level to be clearly identified.

  • Handset in idle mode:

    • Press menu key
    • Enter * # 0 5 #
    • Enter 3 7 6 2 0 0 0

Afterwards the base system code is 0000.

  • NiZn (Nickel Zinc) batteries are not suitable for use in Gigaset handsets.

  • Discharge should take place at room temperature. At temperatures below 0° C, the capacity of the batteries decreases considerably.
Charging should preferably take place in the range of 10 - 35°C, as this is where the batteries have the greatest capacity.
With NiMH batteries, the handset interrupts charging at temperatures above 45° C, with LiIon batteries below 5° C and above 40°-45° C, as the batteries must not be charged outside these temperatures.

If necessary, contact the device manufacturer. If this does not resolve the problem, it is possible that your network provider does not support the CID service for this number.

Have you ordered the CID service from your network provider?

Please refer to the user guide of your

phone to check whether your base station is suitable for operating the

repeater and how to prepare it for registering the repeater.
        Before

starting registration, position the Gigaset Repeater directly adjacent

to the base station and to a power connection. If you are already using

Gigaset Repeaters, these must be switched on and positioned close to the

base station for this registration procedure.

        Automatic registration
        Carry out the following steps:

        • Switch on Gigaset Repeater: Connect the power supply unit to a plug socket. Following this, the device will enter registration mode for 5 minutes.
        • Prepare the base station for registering the repeater, in the same way as you would to manually register a handset. Please refer to the operating instructions for your base station.

The repeater will automatically be registered to the

base station. The LEDs will indicate whether registration was

        successful or unsuccessful.

Please note: Ensure that no other base stations in registration mode are located close to the Gigaset Repeater during this procedure.

        De-registration

        It

may be necessary to de-register the repeater, for example if it has to

be replaced. Information about this can be found in the operating

instructions of your base station, or via the system menu of your phone

        e.g. C430/C430A, C530/C530A, CL660/CL660A, E630/E630A. For phones

without a repeater system menu, the repeater can be de-registered using

        the Reset Repeater procedure.
