Existing critical values for radio sets ensure that there is no health risk for the user concerning radiowaves. The critical value is stated as the specific absorption rate (SAR). SAR is not allowed to amount above 2 W/kg regarding DECT sets and cellular phones even under disadvantageous conditions. In fact radio signals of DECT handsets are extremely low. Thus the critical value can never be reached. Measurements have shown, that SAR values of Gigaset handsets equal to 0,1 W/kg or 5% of the critical value. Consequently SAR values do not play a major role within Gigaset telephones.
