Gigaset DECT handsets possess since many years an automatic adaptation of the transmitting power - depending on the distance to the base. Within a radius of 5-10 meters from the basestation the transmitting power of the handsets is reduced by 75%. The new ECO DECT function completes the adaptation. The transmitting power of the handsets and base is reduced to the minimum, when the handset is lying on the base.
