Gigaset AG, Munich, is an internationally operating company in the area of communications technology. The company is Europe's market leader in DECT telephones. The premium supplier is likewise the leader worldwide with around 1,000 employees and sales activities in around 70 countries. Under the name Gigaset pro, the company continues to develop and market innovative business telephony solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises. The company also operates in the smart home arena. Cloud-based security solutions are developed and marketed under Gigaset elements.
Independent product tests and reader surveys regularly confirm that Gigaset products are leaders in terms of quality, functionality and ease of use. Many of the products have been awarded prizes for their timeless and elegant design, including the iF design award and the red dot award.
The company’s Business Units:
- In its core business of Consumer Products, Gigaset offers its customers high-quality cordless phones for the home. The company’s products have won numerous awards for their innovations and design
- Business Customers includes white-label products distributed under third party brand names, as well as the IP-based product line “Gigaset pro” that offers various business solutions for small and medium-sized enterprises
- Home Networks is developing smart security solutions for private homes under its product line “Gigaset elements” that are, due to the sensor based and modular concept, easily to expand or exchange
Revenue from continuing operations in 2015 was 305.3 million euros and EBITDA 10.6 million euros. In 2015 Business Customers und Home Networks showed a further growth of +23.9% and + 12.1%.
The Executive Board consists of Klaus Weßing (CEO), Hans-Henning Doerr (CFO) and David Du (CMO). It manages Gigaset with the clear objective of stabilizing the company’s financial situation as well continuing the change to growth.
Gigaset AG is listed in the Prime Standard of Deutsche Börse and is therefore subject to the highest transparency requirements. Its shares are traded on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the symbol GGS (ISIN: DE0005156004).
