Door opener does not work

You have the possibility to connect a door opener to you Gigaset HC450. It is not part of the Gigaset HC450.

 

The door opener will be connected directly to the door intercom by using the delivered blue plug.

 

Please pay attention to the following indications, before you start to test the door opener:

 

  • Make sure that the Doorlink control unit is power supplied. The status LED must be light green. If it flashes green/orange, there is no radio contact between the control unit and your base station.
  • Please register the control unit to your Gigaset Home Control supporting base station.
  • Please make sure, that the door intercom is power supplied. The keys at the door intercom must be lighted. If not, please examine the connection between the control unit and the door intercom.

 

Please examine the door opener function as follows:

 

  • Open the list of internal participants.
  • Press the control key to the left Search for the door intercom entry as far as you did not change the door intercom default name, you will find Intercom in the list.
  • Press the control key upwards to select this entry.
  • Press the send key (green earpiece symbol), to open the menu of the HC450.
  • Press the right display key to open the settings. The menu entry Connect to Door will be selected. Intercom appears in the display, as long as you did not change the default name.
  • Press the right display key (Op.Door) to activate the door opener.

 

If the door opener does not work as expected, please pay attention to the following issues:

 

  • The door opener does not switch:

Is the door opener connected correctly to the door intercom? Examine the cable of the door opener and of the door intercom.

Is the door opener within the specifications?

 

  • The door opener switches, but it does not open the door:

Is the door opener within the specifications?

The door opener perhaps was not installed correctly. Please adjust if necessary.
