Below some functions are listed that reduce the standby and operation time:

  • Bluetooth Please deactivate Bluetooth if you are not using it
  • Flashing of MWI (messages waiting indication) Please retrieve the messages until the flashing stops
  • Positioning of the device at the coverage limit Only recommended if no alternative exists. It is better to place base station and handset cradle with the handset near the base station
  • Frequent call receiving versus enduring calls. The handset has to handle information of the incoming call each time The handset has to display some of this information each time The display has to illuminate with full intensity each time. With an enduring call the intensity backspaces after a few seconds. The ringer tone has to appear each time
  • Activated illumination of the handset outside the recharging cradle Deactivate the illumination outside the recharging cradle. With a key press to the on hook key you can reactivate the display.
  • Baby phone or room monitoring In this mode the handset is nearly active like in an enduring call, and needs a lot more voltage than in idle mode.
  • Frequently use of the device / check settings If you check settings in the handset very often, the handset needs more voltage than in idle mode, due to the activated display, and the CPU load during this time.
