GX30 and GX50 combine modern design, powerful performance and rugged outdoor technology with German manufacturing, proprietary update infrastructure and seven years of security updates.
With the launch of the GX30 and GX50, Gigaset is expanding its smartphone portfolio with two new 5G smartphones that take a fresh approach to rugged mobility: outstanding durability without the typical compromises associated with traditional rugged devices.
Both models combine slim design, low weight and modern smartphone technology with IP68/IP69K protection and MIL-STD-810H certification. With a thickness of around 10 mm and a weight of less than 250 g, they bring together rugged outdoor capabilities with the comfort and design of modern smartphones. Developed and manufactured in Germany, both devices are designed for users who depend on reliable performance in everyday life, at work and during outdoor activities.
“Rugged smartphones are often associated with large and heavy devices. With the GX30 and GX50, we demonstrate that modern smartphones can be powerful, durable, slim and elegant at the same time. This combination is exactly what defines the new GX generation,” says Ralf Lueb, Senior Vice President Global Sales & Marketing at Gigaset.
The GX30: The versatile all-rounder for everyday life, work and adventure
The GX30 is designed for users looking for a particularly well-balanced smartphone for everyday use. This rugged 5G device features a 6.58-inch FHD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, wet-hand and glove-touch support, as well as a removable 5,000 mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging capabilities.
Powered by the latest MediaTek Dimensity 6400 platform, the GX30 delivers reliable performance for communication, navigation, streaming and productivity. A 50 MP dual-camera system, Nano SIM and eSIM support, NFC and intelligent shortcut keys including a dedicated SOS button complete the feature set. The GX30 offers a balanced combination of ruggedness, modern technology and long-term usability.
The GX50: Premium rugged, redefined
With the GX50, Gigaset introduces a premium model for demanding users within the rugged smartphone segment. At the heart of the device is a large 6.77-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with brilliant colours, deep blacks and outstanding brightness. Combined with its distinctive camera design, the GX50 deliberately sets itself apart from traditional rugged smartphones.
Performance is driven by the advanced MTK7300 5G platform built on 4 nm technology, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. Additional features include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, an in-display fingerprint sensor, a Pogo Pin interface, flexible Dual SIM functionality with eSIM support and a removable 5,100 mAh battery with fast charging and wireless charging capabilities.
The GX50 also reinforces its premium positioning through its camera system. It combines a 64 MP main camera, a 32 MP ultra-wide camera, a dedicated macro camera for detailed close-up photography and a high-resolution 32 MP front camera for photography, video recording and content creation.
Pure Android 16, German-hosted update infrastructure and seven years of security updates
Both smartphones ship with Pure Android 16. Users benefit from a clean operating system without third-party pre-installed apps, advertising software or unnecessary background services, delivering high performance and an intuitive user experience.
At the same time, Gigaset guarantees seven years of security updates, supporting long-term device longevity. The company also operates its software and update infrastructure in Germany, meeting high standards of data protection, security and privacy. This gives users greater control over their data and ensures rapid delivery of security-related updates.
The Gigaset Service Promise – reliability made easy
In addition to German engineering quality, Gigaset offers customers exceptional peace of mind through its comprehensive Service Promise.
Each GX30 and GX50 includes a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty and a 12-month battery warranty. During the first three months, customers benefit from free repair service for accidental screen damage and a three-month satisfaction guarantee.
