Gigaset expands handset portfolio for VoIP routers

Munich, February 10, 2016 - As more and more users switch to IP-based connections, it's becoming increasingly attractive for them to operate cordless handsets directly on VoIP routers with a DECT module. And that's exactly what the new Gigaset HX handsets have been developed for. As router specialists, they are ideal for use with FRITZ!Box, Speedport and other devices.  In addition to the SL450HX and S850HX, which were presented at IFA 2015, Gigaset is now launching the new models C430HX, E630HX and the design phone Sculpture CL750HX.

The success of the first two models, the SL450 HX and S850HX, proves that Gigaset has chosen the right strategy by developing universal handsets. Europe's market leader for cordless phones is now taking the next step and adding a further model to its handset range. With the new HX models, Gigaset again demonstrates that the company is unrivaled when it comes to quality, design and functionality in cordless telephony.

What is special about the Gigaset HX handsets?
The DECT modules in the various router models use different standards for controlling interaction between the base station and handset. Whereas system handsets from the router manufacturers usually only support their own standard and hence can only be used with other routers to a limited extent, Gigaset's CAT-iq-certified HX handsets integrate all known DECT variants and can therefore be used universally for telephony functions. That makes them a future-proof solution for customers if they want to change later to a router with a different standard.

A handset portfolio leaves nothing to be desired
The C430HX provides recognizable quality and functional clarity in a classic appearance. The C430HX offers a large 1.8 "TFT color display with 65,000 colors, an address book for up to 200 entries á three phones and integrated alarm clock, calendar and birthday reminder feature and a baby monitor mode with intercom function.

The Gigaset E630HX provides maximum ease of use even under rough conditions: vibration and optical call alert, customizable profiles for use in different environments, color display with graphic menu, direct volume control side buttons and a high-quality speakerphone in full duplex quality support you in any situation. Furthermore, the E630HX offers an extra-long standby time of up to 310 hours.

The design phone Sculpture (CL750HX) features a 1.8 "TFT color display with 65,000 colors and other practical highlights, such as the address book for up to 200 entries á three numbers, the integrated calendar and birthday reminder feature or the baby monitor with intercom function make Sculpture at a well-equipped design phone that technically nothing to be desired.

Convenient telephony on the VoIP router
One of the most important convenience features of IP-based telephony is the brilliant voice quality, which is guaranteed by HD Voice certification in connection with CAT-iq. No less important: Access to the internal telephone directory of the router, dialing from the router's call lists, operating the router's answering machines and listening to messages left on it, internal calls from handset to handset and simple registration without a PIN directly on the router. Gigaset transparently publishes exactly what functions are available with which router model on the company's website at http://www.gigaset.com/hq_en/cms/home/help-and-support/support/compatibility.html.

Quality "Made in Germany"
Gigaset develops and produces its cordless phones directly in Germany, hence adhering to the highest quality standards. The "Made in Germany" claim is not only reflected in the technology, but also in the design and innovation.

The router specialists – coming to specialty retailers soon
The new Gigaset C430HX and E630HX will be available as of the end of February. At the end of March the new black and white Gigaset Sculpture design phones will be released.
