Gigaset presents CeBIT 2014 highlights

Munich, March 10, 2014 – Gigaset is presenting new products from all its Business Units at CeBIT 2014. In the business customer segment, it will be showcasing the Maxwell 10, an IP-based 10.1” HD video phone with a touch screen, while private users will have their first opportunity to see the new Dune, a cordless phone whose design is based on nature, as well as new, high-quality Bluetooth headsets.

The Maxwell 10 – A revolution in business telephony
Gigaset’s Maxwell 10 for business customers and entrepreneurs is an innovative, IP-based 10.1” HD video telephone with a touch screen, different cordless handsets (optional) and the Android 4.2.2 (Jelly Bean) operating system.

The completely newly developed operating concept means that telephony processes that used to be complex, such as forwarding of several simultaneous calls, have never been so easy. Compatibility and interoperability are further strengths of the Maxwell 10: Apart from the internal address book with space for some 10,000 entries, company address books can be integrated via LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) and, as customary with Android phones, directories of well-known online providers can also be synchronized.

The HD display offers a resolution of 1280 x 800 pixels and so can show images and text in extremely sharp crispness and enable life-like video calls in HD. The Maxwell 10 has three built-in loudspeakers (bass plus two tweeters) for top HD sound in HDSP™ broadband quality. The integrated microphone at the front and the extra-large sound reflex box of the base station enable handsfree calls in brilliant full-duplex sound quality. Headsets can also be connected quickly and easily using the DECT, USB EHS/DHSG or standard RJ-9 jack.

Dune – telephony modeled on nature
In the consumer segment, convenience phones that fit into modern, individual habitats are growing in importance. The modern phone should no longer appear as something alien, but blend perfectly with the interior design. Gigaset addresses that need with Dune (CL540A, CL540 and CL540H). Inspired by the curving shape of a sand dune, it is a true gem for customers who attach importance to design, material and functionality. With its fine, shimmering surface and no-frills shape, the cordless phone is appealing to the eye and hands and so unites the demands of modern customers for convenient phoning and high-class aesthetics.

Dune offers a large 1.8” TFT color display with a size of 38 x 32 mm and 65,000 colors. Telephony and handsfree calls are possible in the crystal-clear HSP sound quality typical of Gigaset. The address book for up to 200 entries with three numbers each, the integrated alarm, calendar, baby phone and birthday reminder functions can be operated conveniently from the elegant, flat and illuminated keypad. The durable battery has a long standby time of up to 320 hours and a talk time of 14 hours. The CL540A variant has an integrated answering machine capable of storing up to 30 minutes of messages.

The ZX830 and ZX530 stereo Bluetooth headsets – High-quality connections
Bluetooth headsets are becoming increasingly popular thanks to their versatile range of uses, both in business and private life. At CeBIT 2014, Gigaset is presenting two new headsets in the premium and midrange segment. Both the ZX830 and ZX530 can be connected to up to two end-user devices at the same time (10-meter range) thanks to near field communication (NFC) technology and Bluetooth 4.0 and deliver a crystal-clear sound coupled with extremely long standby times: the ZX830 has a standby time of 180 hours and a talk time of 8.5 hours and the ZX530 a standby time of 120 hours and a talk time of 5 hours.

Both devices also understand voice commands in English. As a result, the headset status can be queried or incoming calls taken. Both headsets also come with an extra set of earphones that lets them be transformed into stereo headsets – ideal for listening to music, playing games on the road or watching films.
