The new Gigaset EASY 500 range offers user-friendly phones with a clear operating structure, excellent voice clarity and practical safety features – for analogue connections, with an integrated answering machine or for modern DECT routers.
With the new Gigaset EASY 500 series, Gigaset is expanding its portfolio with three user-friendly cordless phones that are deliberately designed to be accessible and offer particularly simple operation. Large buttons, a high-contrast display and clearly structured menu navigation ensure that making calls in everyday life remains straightforward and reliable.
The Gigaset EASY 500, EASY 500A and EASY 500HX models combine practical safety features, such as an SOS emergency call function, with excellent clarity and high voice quality. The series is therefore aimed at people who value comfortable, clear and easy-to-understand phone calls.
Three models for different connections
The Gigaset EASY 500 series is available in three variants and can therefore be flexibly integrated into different telephone environments:
- Gigaset EASY 500 – for the classic analogue landline
- Gigaset EASY 500A – also for analogue landline connections, with an integrated answering machine
- Gigaset EASY 500HX – as a universal handset for DECT routers and DECT base stations, e.g. FRITZ!Box, Speedport or other CAT-iq-compatible routers
The HX model can be registered directly with many modern routers featuring an integrated DECT base station, making it ideal for households with IP telephony.
Designed for accessibility in everyday life
The EASY 500 series has been developed for people looking for a telephone that is simple, safe and intuitive to use. Large, easy-to-read buttons, a clear menu structure with an intuitive 2-way navigation key, and a high-contrast display make it easier to find your way around in everyday life. This is supported by voice-guided dialling keys and personalised caller announcements. The straightforward Simple menu ensures that the most important functions can be accessed quickly and intuitively.
The series also focuses on particularly simple handling during setup: an installation wizard guides you step by step through the commissioning process, whilst a data entry wizard makes saving new contacts quick and straightforward.
Greater safety at the touch of a button
A key feature of the EASY 500 series is the integrated SOS function. At the touch of a button, up to four pre-stored telephone numbers can be called automatically one after the other in hands-free mode until a connection is established. This allows help to be reached quickly in an emergency.
This is complemented by the security call feature. Authorised persons, such as relatives, can connect to the phone after entering a PIN and undergoing two-factor authentication. In an emergency, this makes it possible to listen in on the room and speak directly to the person concerned via hands-free mode. Both features enhance the sense of security in everyday life and also provide additional peace of mind for relatives.
Loud, clear and easy to hear
The extra-loud button on the side ensures clear intelligibility. With just one press of a button, the call volume can be increased immediately without having to navigate through menus.
Hearing aid compatibility (HAC) enables interference-free use with hearing aids and supports clear voice transmission.
In addition, a visual call signal with a flashing indicator alerts the user to incoming calls. In hands-free mode, users can make calls comfortably with their hands free, whilst maintaining consistently high voice quality.
The combination of acoustic and visual signals, together with the clear operating structure, supports barrier-free use – even for those with hearing loss or in noisy environments.
Convenience features for greater independence
In addition to safety and ease of use, the EASY 500 series offers numerous features that make everyday phone calls more enjoyable. These include a large 2.2-inch colour display with high-contrast visuals, three speed-dial buttons for important contacts, and a phone book with space for up to 200 entries.
Voice-guided dialling helps prevent incorrect entries, whilst personalised caller announcements allow you to recognise familiar contacts even before picking up the phone. In this way, the series supports independent and convenient phone use at every stage of life.
Answering machine for added flexibility
The Gigaset EASY 500A features a built-in answering machine for added convenience. It reliably stores incoming messages and adds a practical function to the phone for anyone who wants to remain reachable even when away.
