With up to four SIP accounts, private and business numbers can be used conveniently. Up to four calls can be made simultaneously, and internal calls between handsets are free of charge at any time.

Setting up the Gigaset BasicLine IP + COMFORT 500HX is quick and easy. You can conveniently configure the base station via PC, smartphone or tablet using the integrated web configurator. Intelligent wizards guide you step by step through the most important settings, from Internet telephony and phone numbers to registering the handsets.
Even after commissioning, settings such as call forwarding, handset management and software updates can be clearly managed. This means that the system can be adapted and kept up to date at any time.
The Gigaset BasicLine IP uses modern security standards to protect your calls and data. Digital DECT encryption and security protocols such as SRTP, SIPS, TLS and HTTPS ensure secure transmission of telephony and configuration data. The IP phone set offers a central phone book with space for up to 300 entries. Each contact can contain multiple phone numbers and is available to all registered handsets. In addition, the handsets have their own local phone books. This allows you to keep track of your contacts at all times and access them quickly.
The base station is connected to the router via a LAN cable and can be set up where DECT coverage is best. The handsets can be flexibly distributed throughout your home or workplace, for example in the kitchen, living room, bedroom or office.

Cordless phones offer everyday flexibility – and with ECO DECT, the Gigaset BasicLine IP + COMFORT 500HX also provides an energy-efficient and low-radiation solution. But what does ECO DECT mean in practice? In standby mode, the system is radiation-free – even when multiple handsets are registered, provided that the base station and all connected handsets support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission power automatically adjusts to the distance between the base and the handset. This means: the closer the handset is to the base station, the lower the transmission power. To benefit from maximum DECT range, ECO DECT mode can be deactivated if required.
