The Gigaset base base station connects the sensors with your smartphone.
The data from all the Gigaset Smart Home sensors comes together in the Gigaset base. It is then processed in the cloud via the router and sent to the smartphone via the app. Installing the Gigaset base is easy: simply plug in the power supply and connect to your router using a LAN cable. As soon as the green light goes on, the base station is connected.
Energy-saving and uninterrupted transmission
Within your own four walls, the base station communicates with the individual sensors via the DECT ULE standard. Gigaset’s many years of experience in DECT are beneficial here. The DECT radio frequency protocol has already been tried and tested for the connection between cordless telephones and their base stations and is now followed by DECT ULE for use in the smart home field. ULE stands for ultra-low energy and is suitable for the efficient transfer of smaller data packages in particular. It uses very little power. Another advantage: DECT ULE has its own frequency range and cannot be used by other transmitters. Uninterrupted operation and a high degree of data security are therefore guaranteed.
